They spout, they spew, they froth at the mouth. They don't know why but they are angry. "It stops here!" 'Not another 4 years of the same!' "If you don't vote for Obama you should be taken into an alley and..." Well, you get the picture. They can't tell you why they feel this way. They just know that they are supposed to be enraged. Fueled by the vision of an old man and a beauty queen defeating the prophet of the new millenium they are apopleptic.
What to do? You talk quietly, firmly, resolutely. "Yes, McCain was not my man. No it will not be more of the same. Only George Bush would be more of the same. Yes she is more than qualified. Compare her to either candidate on the other side and tell me she is not."
Slowly, the roar of rage quiets. One by one they start to think, question, they are now uncertain. Like the melting of each snow flake the trickle will soon become a rushing river. A river of people that have forgotten why they were so mad to begin with and are now more certain than ever that the prophet and Joe "Blutarski" are not the ones for them.
